On March 16th, NIO’s third brand Firefly revealed details of its first compact EV — the Firefly — targeting best-selling electric cars in the ¥150k segment. Priced at 148,800 yuan (pre-sale), it debuts in April with dual deposit perks: a ¥2,000 discount via a ¥199 deposit ("Flickering Firefly Gift") and exclusive rewards for NIO/Ledao owners (30k-50k points).

The Firefly adopts a bionic design with three circular halos forming its signature headlights, ensuring high recognition when driving an electric car at night. Its two-tone body and color-matched C-pillar/roof enhance visual cohesion, while new multi-spoke wheels elevate refinement — a strategic aesthetic appeal to young buyers in crowded best-selling EV markets.

Dimensions (4003×1781×1557mm, 2615mm wheelbase) prioritize urban agility. The rear features a spoiler, rear wiper, and triple-circle taillights mirroring the front. Aerodynamic optimization includes low-drag wheels and tires, aligning with efficiency demands of driving an electric car daily.

Powered by NIO’s rear motor (105kW) and a 42.1kWh battery, the Firefly delivers a 420km CLTC range — competitive among best-selling electric cars in its class. Its thermal management and low rolling resistance tires further boost efficiency, critical for cost-conscious EV drivers.
