The GAC Honda P7 officially rolled off the production line. It is positioned as a mid-size SUV and is expected to launch two more electric vehicles in the future.

On March 26th, GAC Honda held the completion ceremony of its new energy vehicle factory and the roll-off ceremony of the brand-new electric vehicle P7. The completion and production of GAC Honda's new energy vehicle factory marks that GAC Honda has entered a new stage in the fields of electrification and intelligence. The factory has a designed annual production capacity of 120,000 vehicles and integrates multiple advanced technologies to achieve "zero carbon emissions right from the start of production". As the star of today's roll-off, the GAC Honda P7 (parameters | inquiry), positioned as a mid-size pure electric SUV, is developed based on Honda's new intelligent pure electric W architecture. It offers single-motor and dual-motor versions, with a maximum range of up to 650 km. In addition, according to the teaser images released by the manufacturer, GAC Honda is expected to launch a suspected sedan and a suspected MPV model in the future, which are also expected to be pure electric vehicles.

In terms of appearance, the GAC Honda P7 is equipped with a dual-through LED light strip, and its overall styling is very avant-garde. A large-sized smoked surround is installed at the lower part of the front bumper, giving it a good sense of sportiness. The new car uses a brand-new Ye brand LOGO, which is a Honda LOGO without the outer ring. Its flat design is more avant-garde.

In terms of body dimensions, the new car has a length, width and height of 4,750/1,930/1,625 mm respectively, and a wheelbase of 2,930 mm. The design of the vehicle's side is basically the same as that of the Dongfeng Honda S7 that has already been launched. It adopts a smoked ABC pillar design and is combined with black trim strips on the fenders and lower parts of the doors, reflecting a good sense of sportiness. In terms of color options, it offers various colors such as black, silver, white, blue and purple, and is equipped with 19-inch and 21-inch wheels.

Looking at the rear of the vehicle, the new car is equipped with a through-type taillight design, but only the C-shaped areas on both sides can be lit up. The rear of the vehicle is equipped with a spoiler, and the multi-layered black rear surround design further enhances the sense of hierarchy at the rear.

In terms of the interior, the brand-new design is simpler and more avant-garde. It is equipped with a 12.8-inch multimedia display screen and a 10.25-inch air-conditioning control screen. The built-in Honda CONNECT 4.0 system supports four-zone AI voice interaction, multi-dialect recognition and continuous wake-free dialogue, and supports wireless interconnection with mobile phones such as Apple CarPlay, Huawei HiCar and Baidu CarLife. In addition, it also provides a 9.9-inch LCD instrument panel and a 41.9-inch HUD head-up display, and is equipped with a streaming rearview mirror. In terms of intelligent driving, it is equipped with the Honda SENSING 360+ intelligent driving system, providing high-speed navigation assistance and intelligent parking assistance.

The GAC Honda P7 adopts a five-seat layout and is equipped with Dinamica suede perforated seats. All models are standard with 13 airbags. The second-row seats adopt a large reclining angle design and can be adjusted backward by 10° and 18° in sitting posture respectively. At the same time, the multi-functional touch panel on the rear door panel can adjust the skylight transmittance, seat heating/ventilation, armrest heating of the door panel and other functions with one key.

In terms of power, it offers single-motor and dual-motor versions. Among them, for the dual-motor all-wheel drive version, the power of the front and rear motors is 150 kW and 200 kW respectively. The acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h is as fast as 4.6 seconds. It is equipped with a CATL 90 kWh high-energy-density ternary lithium battery, and the CLTC range is up to 650 km. The chassis suspension adopts a front double-wishbone/rear five-link suspension structure, and will be equipped with an ADS adaptive electromagnetic shock absorption system.
