2025-04-02

On April 2nd, we obtained teaser images of the new Geely Boyue L (officially referred to as the 4th generation) compact SUV from Geely's official channels. The new vehicle adopts a brand-new design language called "Mountain and River Elegance" and a full-domain AI technology system, aiming to enhance the driving and riding experience. Notably, the Boyue series has been on the market for 9 years and has been exported to over 60 countries and regions, with global cumulative sales exceeding 2 million units.

The new car features the "Mountain and River Elegance" design concept. Its large inverted trapezoidal grille is complemented by vertical waterfall-style chrome elements (officially named "All Rivers Flow into the Sea Front Grille"). Combined with a through-type star-ring light strip and T-shaped air intakes on both sides, the overall design creates a visually striking effect. Particularly, the through light strip above the grille measures 2.4 meters in length and offers an ultra-wide illumination range of 184 meters by 23 meters.

The rear of the vehicle also adopts a through-type light strip, with 190 LED beads arranged in a matrix. The 2.9-meter-long light strip displays three-dimensional lighting effects instantly when illuminated, making the rear design more three-dimensional and recognizable. It is reported that the vehicle will be equipped with Geely's latest AI intelligent system, achieving breakthrough innovations in areas such as intelligent driving and intelligent interaction.

It is worth mentioning that the new car has already completed its application with the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. Its dimensions are 4,730 mm (length) × 1,910 mm (width) × 1,710 mm (height), with a wheelbase of 2,785 mm. In terms of power, the vehicle is equipped with a 2.0T engine (model: JLH-4G20TDJ) produced by Aurora Bay Technology Co., Ltd., with a maximum power output of 160 kW. Regarding the transmission, based on the current 2.0T models, it is expected to continue using a 7-speed wet dual-clutch gearbox.
