Brand new model! Deepal L07's official image released

On May 17, Deepal Automobile officially released the official image of Deepal L07. It is understood that the new car is a product of in-depth cooperation between Deepal Automobile and Huawei. It is expected that the new car will be equipped with Huawei's smart driving solution, bringing a brand-new smart driving experience. According to the pace of product release, the new car will be launched within the year and will be sold under the same roof as the Deepal SL03. Among them, the SL03 focuses on sports technology, while the new car focuses on smart technology.

Judging from the previous application pictures and this latest official picture, the overall shape of the new car is highly similar to the Deepal SL03. The front face adopts a closed grille design, with slender LED headlights on both sides and the brand's silver LOGO in the center, which is highly recognizable. On the side of the body, the new car has smooth lines, the roof adopts a fastback design style, and it also provides hidden door handles and a dual-color rim design to add a sporty atmosphere.

In terms of size, the length, width, and height of the new car are 4875/1890/1480mm respectively, and the wheelbase is 2900mm. For comparison, the length, width, and height of the Deepal SL03 are 4820/1890/1480mm respectively, and the wheelbase is 2900mm. It is positioned as a mid-sized sedan. In other words, except that the new car is slightly longer than the SL03, other dimensional data are consistent with the SL03. At the rear of the car, the new car uses through-type LED taillights and is equipped with an electrically lifted rear wing. The bottom diffuser decoration further adds a sense of performance to the vehicle.

In terms of power, previous application information shows that the new car will provide two power systems: pure electric and extended range. Among them, the pure electric model is driven by a single motor with a maximum power of 185 kilowatts and matched with a lithium iron phosphate battery; the Deepal L07 extended range version uses 1.5-liter engine (JL469Q1) serves as a range extender, with a maximum power of 72 kilowatts and a maximum power of 160 kilowatts of the drive motor.

Deepal Automobile is a new energy vehicle brand launched by Changan Automobile on April 13, 2022. Up to now, Deepal Automobile has two models, the Deepal SL03 and the Deepal S7. Among them, the Deepal SL03 is the first model of the Changan Deepal brand. The car will be launched in July 2022. A total of 4 models have been launched. In addition to the Deepal SL03 and Deepal S7 models, Deepal Automobile has planned to include Deepal G318, Deepal S05, and Deepal L07 models. Among them, the Deepal G318 is the third model of Deepal Motors and the first new car launched in 2024. It is positioned as a medium and large SUV. It is powered by a range extension system composed of a 1.5T engine. The price is expected to be around $41841. As a hard-core SUV, the Deepal G318 competes with domestic mainstream hard-core off-road SUV brands such as Tank and Fang Leopard after its launch.

Retail data shows that from January to April 2024, the cumulative sales of Deepal cars were 43,024 units, including 24,508 units of Deepal S7 and 18,516 units of SL03. With the improvement of the brand matrix and the launch of new models, Deepal Auto's sales may receive a further boost.
