On July 2nd, we learned from Fangchengbao officials that its mid-to-large SUV, the Tai 7, is expected to make its debut soon (officially stated as: the Tai 7 is about to hit the scene). The vehicle has already completed the declaration with the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. It has a length of 4,999mm and a wheelbase of 2,920mm, adopting a unibody design. The pricing will be between the Bao 5 and Bao 8, estimated to be around 300,000 yuan, and it is expected to go on the market in the fourth quarter. It is worth mentioning that at the beginning of this month, Fangchengbao officially announced its June sales volume of 18,903 units, among which the Tai 3 sold 12,017 units in a single month; the Bao 5 sold 4,875 units; and the Bao 8 sold 2,011 units. With the launch of the Tai 7, Fangchengbao will have a more complete product matrix and an expanded user base, which is expected to lead to better sales performance.
In terms of appearance, the Fangchengbao Tai 7 still continues the boxy shape. The front face has been upgraded on the basis of the family-style design. The headlights adopt a double-line design, which is very eye-catching when lit. Although the new car is a unibody SUV, the lower surround guard plate still shows a very tough temperament. In terms of body dimensions, the length, width and height of the vehicle are 4,999/1,995/1,865mm respectively, with a wheelbase of 2,920mm. The approach angle/departure angle are 24/25 degrees respectively, and the interior adopts a 5-seat layout.
In terms of power, the new car is equipped with a plug-in hybrid system composed of a 1.5T engine and an electric motor. The maximum power of the engine is 115kW, and the maximum power of the motor is 200kW. It will also be equipped with a lithium iron phosphate battery.
