On February 25th, we obtained the official images of the BYD Qin L EV, a mid-sized sedan from BYD's lineup. The new vehicle is built on the e-platform 3.0 Evo and comes standard with the Tian Shen Zhi Yan C-Advanced Intelligent Driving Triple Camera Edition (DiPilot100) across all models.
In terms of appearance, the new car adopts the latest family-style design language, featuring a chrome decorative strip with the Chinese character "秦" (Qin) running across the front face. Below this is a full-width LED light strip, paired with blackened headlight units on both sides, creating a distinctive look. Additionally, the upper edge of the headlights slightly bulges, echoing the lines of the front hood and adding a touch of muscularity to the vehicle.
At the rear, the wide shoulder wrap-around design not only complements the front face but also enhances the muscular contours of the body. Moreover, the car features a full-width taillight design with Chinese knot elements, similar to the current Han model, exuding a strong sense of fashion. The vehicle has already completed its registration with the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, with dimensions of 4720mm in length, 1880mm in width, and 1495mm in height, and a wheelbase of 2820mm. These dimensions are notably smaller than those of the Qin L DM-i, and even shorter in length than the Qin PLUS.
In terms of power, the new car is expected to introduce the second-generation Blade Battery, potentially achieving new breakthroughs in range. The vehicle's electric motor has a maximum power output of 160 kW and adopts rear-wheel drive. We will continue to follow up on more information about this vehicle.
