Recently, the official images of the Volvo ES90 (parameters|inquiry) were leaked, and the new car is set to make its debut on March 5th. The ES90 will share the SPA2 architecture with the EX90, positioning itself as a flagship pure electric sedan. This vehicle will embody the concept of software-defined cars, becoming the Volvo model with the strongest core computing power to date, with a driving range expected to reach 700km.

In terms of appearance, the Volvo ES90 continues the Nordic minimalist design aesthetic, eliminating the grille design but still retaining Volvo's classic logo design elements. The iconic "Thor's Hammer" daytime running lights are highly recognizable, with clear and powerful body lines and a waistline that runs through the entire body. The front of the car features a LiDAR system.

The side profile of the car reveals a sleek and elongated body shape, with an expected length close to 5 meters and a wheelbase exceeding 3 meters. The new car is equipped with large petal-style wheels, adjustable mirrors, and a new-style door handle, with blackened window frames.

At the rear, the car adopts a new family-style design with C-shaped LED taillights that extend onto the rear window. The interior of the taillights features dense stripe designs, further enhancing the sense of technology. The new car still maintains the classic three-box sedan shape.

The Volvo ES90 is equipped with a wealth of intelligent driving hardware, including 1 LiDAR, 5 radars, 8 cameras, 12 ultrasonic sensors, etc., with the intelligent driving chip being the dual NVIDIA Drive AGX Orin, offering a computing power of 508 TOPS.

In terms of power, the new car adopts an 800V electrical architecture, enabling a 300km charge in 10 minutes, and charging from 10% to 80%. The new car has a range of 700km and is equipped with a single-motor rear-wheel drive and a dual-motor four-wheel drive system.
