Recently, we have learned from official sources that the AITO M8 is scheduled to launch in April. Previously, the vehicle was planned to debut at the Shanghai Auto Show in April, go on sale in May, and begin deliveries in June. It is expected that the entire timeline may be moved up. For reference, the AITO M9 is priced between 469,800 and 569,800 yuan, while the Li L9 is priced between 409,800 and 439,800 yuan. It is anticipated that the price of the AITO M8 will be very close to that of the Li L9, creating direct competition.
Looking back at the new vehicle, it has already completed the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) registration. The exterior design largely follows the design language of the AITO M9, with only slight differences in details. The body dimensions are 5190mm in length, 1999mm in width, and 1795mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3105mm.
Based on previous spy photos, the interior of the new vehicle will feature a large continuous screen design in the front row, which appears to be narrower in height compared to the AITO M9. The wireless charging panel area below the screen also differs from that of the AITO M9. The new vehicle is equipped with a heads-up display and Huawei's exclusive audio system, with overall configurations that are not inferior to the M9.
In terms of powertrain, the new vehicle is equipped with a 1.5T range-extender system, with the range extender having a maximum power of 118kW. The WLTC fuel consumption is 0.53L/100km and 0.52L/100km. Additionally, the vehicle is equipped with dual motors on the front and rear axles, with peak power of 165kW for the front motor and 227kW for the rear motor.
