The Geely Galaxy Xingyao 8 EM is set to launch in May as a large plug-in hybrid vehicle, featuring the Thunder God EM-P Super Hybrid system.

Recently, we have learned that the Geely Galaxy Xingyao 8 EM is set to launch in May. The new vehicle is positioned as a mid-to-large-sized car with a plug-in hybrid powertrain.

In terms of appearance, the vehicle features a sleek and elongated body with a coupe-style fastback design. The front face boasts a split headlight design, while the rear is adorned with a continuous tail light. The dimensions of the new car are 5018mm in length, 1918mm in width, and 1480mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2928mm.

For the interior, the new car adopts a design that includes a floating instrument panel, a floating square central control screen, and a head-up display. It comes standard with the Galaxy Flyme Auto infotainment system across the entire lineup, equipped with a 23-speaker Flyme Sound boundary-less audio system. The rear seats are executive-level, featuring ventilation, heating, and massage functions. The vehicle is equipped with the Qianli Haohan advanced intelligent driving system, enabling high-level intelligent driving functions such as highway/overpass NOA navigation. Higher-end models will also be equipped with lidar.

In terms of power, the new car is powered by a 1.5T engine as part of the Thunder God EM-P super hybrid system. The engine has a maximum power of 120 kW, and the electric motor has a maximum power of 160 kW, with a combined torque of 605 N·m. It can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just over 6 seconds, with a fuel consumption of 3.67 L/100km when running on the engine alone.
