The Exeed Star Era ES range-extended version is set to officially launch tomorrow, March 10th. The new vehicle is equipped with a 1.5T range-extending system and has already started pre-sales, offering four models with a pre-sale price range of 162,800 to 219,800 yuan.
In terms of appearance, the overall design of the new car does not differ much from the pure electric version, still featuring a full-width LED daytime running light strip. The front grille is of a closed design, with the high and low beam units of the split-type headlights embedded on both sides of the front bumper. The central part of the front bumper has a trapezoidal heat dissipation opening, giving the overall design a sporty attribute. Additionally, the new car is equipped with a laser radar on the roof, supporting the Falcon Intelligent Driving System.
On the side of the body, the new car boasts a smooth roofline design and is equipped with hidden door handles and low-drag wheels to further reduce the drag coefficient. At the rear, the new car features a full-width taillight strip and offers an optional electric rear spoiler. In terms of body size, the Star Era ES range-extended version measures 4945mm in length, 1978mm in width, and 1480mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3000mm, the same as the pure electric version.
Inside, the new car is equipped with an 8.2-inch full LCD instrument panel and a 15.6-inch 2.5K floating central control screen. The steering wheel has been upgraded to a dual-spoke, dual-tone multifunction steering wheel with newly added touch function buttons on both sides. Moreover, the new car has been upgraded across the range with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295P cockpit chip, supporting the Lion AI intelligent voice assistant and 4-zone voice interaction functions.
In terms of power, the new car offers a choice of a 1.5T range extender with a single or dual motor. The 1.5T range extender has a maximum power of 115 kW and a maximum torque of 220 Nm. The rear-wheel-drive model's single motor has a maximum power of 195 kW and a maximum torque of 324 Nm, while the four-wheel-drive model's dual motors have a maximum power of 345 kW and a maximum torque of 634 Nm. As for the battery pack, the new car will have a 34.7 kWh and a 41.16 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery pack, with a pure electric range of 255 km under CLTC conditions and a comprehensive range of up to 1645 km.
