Recently, Hyundai has released the official images of the all-new Nexo FCEV. The new vehicle is positioned as a mid-size SUV and uses hydrogen fuel cells as its energy source. The new car features a brand-new exterior and interior, with improvements in power and driving range compared to the current model.
In terms of appearance, the new car adopts a new design language. The entire front end has a rather square shape, equipped with a pixel-style 2X2 square headlight assembly, giving the front face a strong sense of science fiction and futurism. The new car will offer six exterior colors, including silver, and is also equipped with a rearview camera mirror and a roof rack.
Looking at the rear, the new car is equipped with a 2X2 square taillight design that echoes the front. The rear of the car reveals more crossover styling, with a silver rear bumper. The new car has increased in size compared to the old model, with a length and width of 4750/1865mm and a wheelbase of 2790mm. Depending on the version, the new car will offer either 18-inch or 19-inch wheels.
In terms of the interior, the new car is equipped with dual 12.3-inch LCD instrument panels + a central control screen, as well as a HUD head-up display system. The gear shift is designed as a stalk shift, and the vehicle's infotainment system supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. Below the central control screen, there is a set of touch-sensitive buttons for controlling the air conditioning. Other features include dual wireless charging pads for mobile phones and a 14-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system.
In terms of power, the new car generates electricity through the reaction of hydrogen and oxygen, using a single motor for driving, with a maximum power output of 150kW. The acceleration time from 0 to 100km/h is 7.8 seconds. The hydrogen storage capacity of the new car has been slightly increased compared to the current model, reaching 6.69kg, with a driving range of up to 700km, and it only takes 5 minutes to refuel with hydrogen.
