Recently, media personality JOSH BYRNES shared online his concept renderings of the Mazda MAZDA 6e (known domestically as the EZ-6) Touring variant. The vehicle features a classic shooting brake design that immediately catches the eye. JOSH envisions this Mazda MAZDA 6e Touring equipped with an inline-six engine, positioning it to compete directly with the BMW M340i, Audi S5 Avant, and Mercedes-AMG C43.
The concept illustrations reveal a longer front hood designed to accommodate the inline-six engine, resulting in an elegantly proportioned silhouette complemented by large wheels and prominent hood creases, exuding a refined and composed demeanor.
The highlight of the design is the rear end, which boasts a robust and voluminous design typical of a shooting brake. The wide D-pillars create strong visual impact. Below, it features quad exhaust outlets and a spoiler adorned with chrome trim, instantly igniting the driver's passion for performance.
JOSH believes his envisioned Mazda MAZDA 6e Touring would rival the BMW M3 Touring M xDrive. If such a model were to become a reality, it indeed possesses the capability to compete on equal footing.
For reference, the Changan Mazda MAZDA 6e commenced shipping from China to Europe starting April 22. The MAZDA 6e serves as the global version of the domestic EZ-6, with the initial batch of vehicles expected to arrive at Belgian ports in May and deliveries to multiple European dealerships scheduled for this summer. Priced between 139,800 and 179,800 RMB in China, the Mazda EZ-6 is built on the Changan EPA platform and offers both pure electric and extended-range plug-in hybrid variants.
