Fu Qiang, Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing at SAIC Volkswagen, revealed that the production version of the ID.ERA, which made its debut at the Shanghai Auto Show, is expected to premiere at the Guangzhou Auto Show and launch in Q1 2026.

SAIC Volkswagen stated that the Chinese and German teams will integrate SAIC Volkswagen's legacy of reliability, durability, and driving dynamics with China's manufacturing strengths, rapid application of cutting-edge technology, and advanced intelligence to create a perfect fusion. SAIC Volkswagen's new energy vehicles will meet consumers' demands for safety, reliability, craftsmanship, handling, and chassis quality.

Moving forward, SAIC Volkswagen will become an automotive enterprise offering a full range of models, including gasoline, pure electric, extended-range, and plug-in hybrid vehicles. The ID.ERA concept car from SAIC Volkswagen is a large SUV powered by an extended-range system. The vehicle features a floating roof design, emphasizing both aesthetics and practical space utilization.
